Message from CHRIS EDWARDS, ACTING HEAD OF DOVER CAMPUS
Welcome to the 2018 SEASAC Division 1 Tennis Championships
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Singapore, to the Dover Campus of the United World College of South East Asia, and to the 2018 SEASAC Division 1 Tennis Championships.
Dover is one of two campuses of UWCSEA - Dover Campus opening in 1971 and East Campus at its new site in Tampines in 2011 - and we have a long relationship with SEASAC.
Our athletes have benefited greatly from the opportunities that SEASAC provides and so it is a particular pleasure to be able to welcome the teams here today.
I would like to thank Mike Staples, Luke Diaz and the Activities & Sports staff here at Dover for running these tournaments, and the students and the wider community for supporting the events.
I hope that while you are here you will be able to see a little bit of what Singapore has to offer as well as enjoying the opportunities for competition.
Perhaps more importantly I hope that you will be able to enjoy the camaraderie and friendship of the other athletes from the various schools that is such an important part of sport.
My very best wishes to all of the competing teams.
